This app requires you to level up to a certain amount of money ... A minimum of 20$ and not the exact figure of your bill so you have to float a balance and keep more and keep more money in the app; money that is not being used. A true rip off.

0/10 Requires debit card to use the rewards program. The free shake is a lie.

I loaded money to the app but cant pay for food on my way to the store. I have to go to the store and have them scan it. Whats the point? Also, you cant back out of sub menus. You have to back all the way out and then go back to the sub menus. I had $12 and was 1/4 of the way to my reward. I loaded more money and now Im further behind on getting a reward. Doesnt matter to me though as I just want convenience which this app provides none. Just scrap the app and start all over!

They dropped my phone when trying to scan through the drive thru. Screen cracked. Also, the manager at the Keystone location in Indy told me that they removed the scanner at the drive thru. Worthless app. Im done with SNS, too many issue of late to list.

I added money to the account and it doesnt even work when I go to pay

Poorly conceived and designed

Latest update broke the feature that lets you add your gift cards to your Steak n Shake account. I have contacted their customer service twice and I have never heard a reply from them. The feature has been broken for months now with no sign of a fix coming.

We loaded three gift cards onto the app and tried to order online but there wasnt a way to pay for our order with our preloaded gift cards. So we went to the restaurant and placed our order but when it was time to pay, none of the employees were able to scan the code. Now we of $50.00 loaded on the app, which no one can get to work and once you load the gift card then the physical card has a $0.00 balance. $50.00 wasted.

I love Steak ’n Shake for their $4 menu, 1/2 price drinks from 2 -5 pm, and now this app. Downloaded app and used it with a coupon for a great priced meal and shake. I belong to the Steak ’n Shake eClub so I regularly get $1.00 off coupons for a specific meal and a coupon for a free birthday meal. I regularly get Steak ’n Shake e-gift cards for completing online surveys. It’s very easy to add the codes to the app and top up my balance and not have to keep up with paper or plastic gift cards. It’s all on the phone. Or in my case, my iPad Mini.

I think its a bit ridiculous that I cant place an order through the app.

The app works great for easy paying at checkout. Little different at first. We love going to Steak n Shake and drive 40 miles one way. Now if we can get the service to work as well as the app.

After registering the app, placing an online order, entering payment info, I arrive at the location to be told there was no order. I tried to re-order online and most of the apps pages offer no way to navigate between pages. The only way to move through the app was to close the app and start over. Finally, I closed the app and paid at the counter as if there were no app and no online order. Thanks for wasting my time.

I ordered at the drive thru and received a completely different meal. The app has no purchase history so I have no idea what I paid for to dispute it. This app needs a lot of work as does the drive thru staff.

Havent had issues. Wish I could scan my bill and pay without waiting for someone to assist me at the register. Would be very convenient to pay from the table.

While its disappointing to see reviews confusing on-line ordering (separate system) and gift cards (they migrate fine and can be used to fund your account), I like the fast, secure way to pay and be rewarded with automatic credit every time.

Down loaded app, could not use it to pay. Could not redeem for free dessert, no one working knew how to use it either.

Only seeing load options for $25 min. What a joke.

Downloaded to get the free milkshake but they needed me to supply debit card info for the free shake. Why? This is ridiculous. This gives me another reason to not go to steak and shake.

Doesnt even work if youre going to try so hard to make an app at least make it work. But nice try.

Steak and shake has awesome food and great customer service
